About the Role

The Software Engineer I will write, test, instrument, document, and maintain software for the 3rd Eye products at Environmental Solutions Group. The role involves collaborating with software engineering, quality assurance, and project management teams to develop software that meets customer and system requirements, following sound engineering principles to ensure safety, robustness, and user-friendliness. Key Responsibilities

Write, test, instrument, document, and maintain software for 3rd Eye products.
Learn, pair, and participate in code reviews to contribute to team growth.
Design software solutions according to customer needs.
Build software solutions in a timely fashion.
Coordinate and collaborate well with other team members.
Design and build solutions based on requirements analysis, while challenging potential gaps.
Document key work, including technical design, procedures, and new technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of experience in software development across full product life cycles.
Proficiency in Java programming, Spring framework, REST API, and SQL.
Knowledge of Linux, Cloud computing, and AWS.
Experience with Agile development practices and continuous delivery.
Experience with large-scale deployment of commercial software products.
Experience with test-driven development (TDD).
Proficient understanding of version control systems (git).
Strong organizational, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

Experience in startup environments and successfully taking projects to market.

Qualifications

Educational background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
