About the Role

The Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team. This role supports data collection efforts in a flight test environment, specifically focusing on modernizing tracking control algorithms and supporting software/hardware/embedded systems integration. The position involves working near Lockheed Martin Space's facility in Littleton, CO, with some teleworking options. Key Responsibilities

Support of the FBM AIF as a senior software engineer
Modernization of tracking control algorithm software aimed at greater efficiency, capability, and configuration management
Implementation of new software functionality for improvement on tracking and flight test data collection capabilities
Support of software/hardware/embedded systems integration and test
Collaboration with controls, systems, and optical focused engineers using Agile development methodology

Requirements

Programming experience using C/C++
5+ years professional experience; 3+ years with Masters degree
Hardware/software integration and test
Embedded systems development
Multi-threading programming
Real-time operating system (RTOS) experience
Software design/architecture experience
Linux (Ubuntu)
Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required

Nice to Have

Great communication skills and ability to work in multi-disciplined team
Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC)
Experience with ship-based object tracking
Extensive python knowledge
Software configuration management
Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD tools
Full software development life-cycle experience
Optical data software analysis tooling
Experience with docker or similar
Agile/scrum processes
Existing FBM employee
Active TS clearance
