Software Engineer Intern Conversion

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop security-critical software for Crypto & Cross Domain Solutions as part of the Secure Voice Products team.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure software development and integration.
• Apply software engineering concepts, principles, and theories to solve challenging problems.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to team success.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuous learning.

Requirements

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
• Agile experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to security clearance requirements.
• Strong understanding of software development process and engineering concepts.
• Proficient in C/C++ and familiar with BASH, sed, awk.
• Experience with Linux application development and administration.
• Experience with Git, SELinux, and cross-domain solutions is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with agile and scrums.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GitLab.
• Experience with Python and Rust.
• Linux Kernel/Driver experience.
• Experience customizing or creating Linux distributions.
• Experience with GTK/GTKmm.
• Experience with information assurance, secure software development strategies and concepts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
