About the Role

Palantir builds the world's leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. As an intern within Palantir's Foundations organization, you'll have the opportunity to grow quickly by building shared infrastructure that underpins platforms like Palantir Foundry, Gotham, and Apollo. The role involves working on infrastructure categories such as Backend Infrastructure, Developer Infrastructure, Frontend Infrastructure, and Storage Infrastructure, contributing to scalable, reliable, and performant systems that support Palantir's mission to empower organizations through data.

Key Responsibilities

Building features to improve the developer experience for other Palantir engineers.
Improving the scalability and reliability of Palantir's platforms.
Participating throughout the product lifecycle, from idea generation and design to execution and rollout.
Collaborating closely with technical and non-technical counterparts to understand problems and build infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

Engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or Physics.
Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
Experience coding in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar.
Planning on graduating in 2027; this should be your final internship before graduating.
Active US Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain one.

Nice to Have

Ability to write clean, effective code and learn new languages quickly.
Experience with open-source technologies like Cassandra, Spark, Elasticsearch, React, and Redux.
Passion for helping other developers build better applications.
Empathy for the impact of changes on workflows and productivity.
Ability to communicate and collaborate with engineers, users, and non-technical team members.
Willingness to learn and make decisions independently.

Qualifications

Final year student planning to graduate in 2027.
Relevant technical skills and experience as outlined in requirements.
