Software Engineer IV

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement software systems for robotic products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams from product, engineering, services, sales and other key stakeholders to rapidly prototype solutions.
• Work in a lean startup environment, starting with problems to be solved and hacking together prototypes for customer validation.
• Engage with customers to gather feedback and iterate on solutions.
• Push the envelope in engineering solutions, with a focus on disruptive and innovative approaches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Front and Back-end development.

Nice to Have

• Experience in deploying service oriented and microservices architectures.
• Experience with .NET Framework and Java.
• Building event-driven architectures using messaging systems/service bus, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Working experience with APIs (REST).
• Deploying applications in the public cloud using technologies like Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Python and C++.
• Familiarity with machine vision technologies and algorithms.
• Familiarity with Networking and Connectivity Principles.
• 2+ years of experience with IOT or autonomous systems.
• Knowledge of machine vision and machine learning.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
• Proven track record of developing disruptive solutions in an entrepreneurial setting.
• Extra points for attempting to build something revolutionary that failed and learning from the experience.
• Experience in healthcare is a bonus.
