As a Software Engineer Sr within PNC's Technology - Retail Lending Core Servicing organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Miamisburg, OH, Strongsville, OH, Birmingham, AL, or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location, with responsibilities requiring time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. You will work mainly in the monetary operations space, including building software for payments, returns, payoffs, etc., facilitating troubleshooting, modernizing legacy applications, managing vulnerabilities, and mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Building software in our monetary operations space (i.e. payments, returns, payoffs, etc.)
- Facilitating troubleshooting and pipeline conversations
- Modernization of legacy applications
- Vulnerability management
- Mentoring
- Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms
- Proposes and designs software solutions to address complex business needs
- Writes code, tests, and deploys software
- Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software
- Maintains and debugs software
Requirements
- Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience
- Skills in application development, business management, customer solutions, design, group problem solving, process improvements, release management, software solutions, and user experience (UX) design
- Knowledge of application delivery process, application design, architecture, application development tools, application testing, packaged application integration, system development life cycle, technical troubleshooting, and technical writing/documentation
- Basic skills and competencies related to software development and troubleshooting
- Candidates being considered will be subject to additional background checks as established by the specific government client contract

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- No required certifications
