As a Senior Salesforce Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Strongsville, OH, Dallas, Texas, or Birmingham, AL. The position supports our Retail Customer Care Center agents and Branch Bankers with Salesforce technology to assist customers, involving development, integration, and collaboration on Salesforce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Apex classes, triggers, batch jobs, and Visualforce pages.
Build Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows and Aura components as needed.
Collaborate with admins, analysts, and other developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Design and implement REST/SOAP integrations with external systems.
Write unit tests and perform thorough testing to ensure robust, high-quality code.
Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and documentation efforts.
Stay current with Salesforce best practices, releases, and new features.
Provide detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
Propose and design software solutions to address complex business needs.
Write, test, and deploy software; prepare technical and procedural documentation.
Maintain and debug software.

Requirements

Experience with Apex and the Salesforce platform.
Experience with Sales and Service Cloud.
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, Trigger Execution Order and governor limits.
Experience using Point and Click design instead of code as an option.
Proficient in writing clean, efficient, and reusable code.
Experience with Salesforce integrations (REST, SOAP APIs).
Solid understanding of Flow, Lightning Experience and Lightning Web Components.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification(s).
Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices in Salesforce.
Experience with managed packages or AppExchange apps.
Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks and UI development.

Qualifications

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
