About the Role

Our Team, the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) Global team, is engineering, developing and integrating new capability for the Missile Defense System that currently protects the United States and its allies. The team is large but broken down into many smaller agile teams working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities include Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, Cyber Security, and enhancing other critical missile defense technologies. The role involves serving as Product Owner for the GloMA team, primarily responsible for software development using Java, supporting the Missile Defense System, and interfacing with key customers in the Missile Defense Agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Product Owner of the GloMA team.
  • Lead software development efforts using Java.
  • Collaborate with diverse technical professionals including software and systems engineers, architects, and project engineers.
  • Support tasks such as Sensor/Weapon Integration, Algorithm Development, User Interface Development, Automated Testing, and Cyber Security.
  • Facilitate collaboration across organizations to accomplish challenging missions.
  • Interface with key customers in the Missile Defense Agency.

Requirements

  • Must have an active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Java programming experience.
  • Strong problem solving skills, including reviewing performance issues, identifying root causes, and developing solutions.

Nice to Have

  • TS/SCI clearance is desired.
  • Experience with command and control system application development.
  • Experience with message translation software.
  • Automated test and pipeline development experience.
  • Experience developing software for Unix/Linux and Windows platforms.
  • Experience with Software Integration testing including developing automated test scripts.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework/STIG/Fortify mitigation.
  • Experience designing and developing microservices and deploying with containers.
  • Experience setting up a container environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
