Software Engineering Manager, AI/ML

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals, and align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
• Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals, meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development, and provide feedback and coaching.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
• Scope and shape AI integration projects for a team of engineers in the US and other locations.
• Enable the prompt execution, delivery, and productionization of the team's ideas, as well as overall team challenges to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
• Experience with Software Engineering, People Management and AI Algorithms.

Nice to Have

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 3 years of experience working in a changing organization.
• Knowledge of AI/ML technologies and of computer networking concepts.

Qualifications

• Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Experience in software development and technical leadership roles.

Benefits & Perks

• US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
