Key Responsibilities

Design and develop the firm's proprietary, high-performance Fixed Income E-Trading platform covering all fixed income products such as Credits and Rates.
Understand workflows like RUN, Axes, RFQs for Dealer to Client markets including MarketAxess, TradeWeb, Bloomberg.
Collaborate with traders and quantitative analysts to specify and build real-time trading applications that electronically execute orders across multiple ECNs.
Support and enhance existing infrastructure and applications across technologies such as ION, Java, Kdb.
Drive implementation and design with a focus on high availability, scalability, and reusability.
Work with other Fixed Income front office teams to promote framework reusability across the business.
Champion best practices in the software development lifecycle, emphasizing test-driven development.
Balance time to market with governance, compliance, and audit requirements.
Mentor junior developers.

Requirements

BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in financial services.
Effective communication skills with the desk.
Strong design, coding, testing, and debugging skills.
Extensive experience in front office trading systems, especially E-Trading.
Programming experience in Java (10+ years), C#, JavaScript is a plus.
Knowledge of Fixed Income Pricing and Analytics.
Strong multithreaded programming experience.
Knowledge of Client Markets such as MarketAxess, Bloomberg, TradeWeb.
Understanding of Credit Buy-Side/Sell-Side market structure.
Knowledge of FIX protocol, ION or Broadway API, KDB/Q is a plus.
