About the Role

The Sr Data Management Analyst - SAP (Maintenance Module) is responsible for driving data transformation and migration for SAP (Maintenance) deployments as well as G.E. APM / Meridium Database (Meridium). The role involves techno-functional data knowledge, data migration process expertise, and managing data interfaces to systems like Meridium and Power BI. The position reports to the ESS Director of Maintenance Excellence and offers a hybrid work schedule across multiple locations, including Chickasaw, AL; Baton Rouge, LA; Shreveport, LA; or Houston, TX. The role aims to improve data management practices, ensure compliance, and support operational efficiency, customer experience, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the technical aspects of SAP systems, including system administration, performance tuning, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technical solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in SAP technical solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the IT team and end-users.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP / Meridium technologies and trends.
  • Coordinate with business IT and Business System Analysts to design plans for data extraction, rationalization, cleansing, and support documentation.
  • Help define data validation requirements and document validation processes using tools like Queries, Power Connect, SAP tables, and transaction codes.
  • Work with SAP & Meridium Functional Consultants to understand SAP configuration and data requirements.
  • Ensure the stability, performance, and security of SAP / Meridium systems.
  • Ensure data conversion strategies and execution are aligned with controls and procedures.
  • Communicate data conversion status to project management through status calls and steering committee meetings.
  • Provide site training on tool usage to support Maintenance Excellence Work Processes such as Planning, Scheduling, Execution, and W.O. Closure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • 6+ years of experience in SAP technical management or a similar role.
  • 6+ years of functional experience in SAP applications with configuration, tables, structures for data mapping, and rule definition.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP technical solutions, including SAP Basis, ABAP, and HANA.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in data migration and full cycle projects for large, complex initiatives.
  • Experience creating LSMW, executing SAP queries, and using SAP transaction codes.
  • Working knowledge of G.E. APM / Meridium.
  • Experience at a chemical plant or manufacturing site is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Maintenance Excellence Work Processes.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across the organization.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • SAP certifications.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA implementation and migration.
  • Experience with cloud-based SAP solutions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or chemical plant environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • 6+ years of SAP technical and functional experience.
