Sr Java Developer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable front-end and back-end applications.
• Develop and maintain high-performance APIs using Java, Python, PySpark, and AWS services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Owners to deliver reliable software solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration with existing systems and third-party platforms.
• Write and maintain unit tests, functional tests, and perform code reviews to ensure high code quality.
• Work with RDBMS (DB2, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) for data modeling and query optimization.
• Utilize Kafka or other messaging systems for real-time data streaming and processing.
• Develop and maintain batch processing solutions and workflows.
• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture decisions, and sprint planning.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovations where applicable.
• Work independently and mentor junior developers as needed.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Java/J2EE and modern backend technologies.
• 5+ years of on-site client experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and PySpark for data transformation and ETL workloads.
• Proven experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.).
• Proficiency in working with WebServices (REST/JSON) and API design standards.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data processing frameworks and real-time data streaming.
• Experience with architecture decisions and technical documentation.
• Experience mentoring junior developers.
