About the Role

FactSet creates flexible, open data and software solutions for over 200,000 investment professionals worldwide, providing instant access to financial data and analytics that investors use to make crucial decisions. The Quotes Content team is responsible for processing high-volume real-time data feeds from over 200 exchanges globally, powering applications like charts, time & sales, and pricing. The team focuses on low latency programming, efficient memory usage, and advancing cloud infrastructure to support FactSet's real-time market data offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving new developments and maintaining various data feeds and supporting infrastructure within the Quotes Content team.
  • Managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks during exchange and client-driven projects.
  • Applying best practices to enhance FactSet's real-time data offerings and cloud journey.
  • Contributing to the team's evolving cloud infrastructure and offerings.

Requirements

  • 4-5+ years of software development/engineering experience.
  • Proficient in C++ (CX98 and CX11 onwards).
  • Hands-on coding experience and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing and able to work hybrid 3 days per week.
  • Effective communication skills with product managers and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Financial market knowledge, especially market data on post-trade/quotes side.
  • Knowledge of industry standard feed formats like FIX, FAST, SBE.
  • Experience with messaging libraries such as ZeroMQ, Tibco, or Kafka.
  • Ability to develop on Linux/CentOS.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, Python, Bash.
