The role involves driving a unified, innovative solution architecture across HR technology platforms, including Workday and third-party HR products, to deliver measurable business outcomes and foster adoption across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and design integrated HR technology solutions, collaborating with delivery teams and business partners to solve complex business challenges.
  • Develop and document integration patterns using REST and SOAP APIs, middleware, and low-code/no-code platforms such as Workday Extend and Power Platform.
  • Create and maintain clear, detailed architecture artifacts including ERDs, process flows, capability diagrams, and data mappings.
  • Translate complex technical solutions into clear, compelling presentations for non-technical stakeholders and executives, highlighting business impacts and tradeoffs.
  • Act as the “glue” between HR, IT, and business units, proactively identifying gaps, overlaps, and opportunities for alignment.
  • Measure success by business impact and user adoption, taking accountability for solutions from ideation through continuous improvement.
  • Operate effectively in environments with overlapping responsibilities, undefined processes, and evolving priorities.
  • Advocate for architectural principles, integration strategies, and continuous improvement across the HR technology portfolio.
  • Stay current with HR tech trends, emerging platforms, and best practices to inform solution design and innovation.

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience designing and delivering technical solutions in an enterprise environment, ideally HR tech with a focus on Workday.
  • Technical skills including REST & SOAP APIs, middleware (e.g., Dell Boomi, MuleSoft, Workday Studio), SFTP, webhooks.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms such as Workday Extend, ServiceNow, and Power Platform.
  • Proficiency in solution documentation including ERDs, process flows, capability diagrams, and data mapping.
  • Scripting familiarity (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into technical and functional requirements and articulate business impacts and tradeoffs.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including experience with executive presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and partnerships across cross-functional teams.
  • High initiative and accountability in ambiguous, collaborative settings.
  • Experience working in Agile environments, writing user stories, and participating in iterative delivery.
