Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver critical semantic search capabilities within AlloyDB, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability for our customers.
- Lead technical projects from inception to deployment in an innovative environment.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across different product areas and geographic locations, as well as directly with customers, to understand their needs and build the semantic search experiences.
- Contribute to the goals and strategy for semantic search in AlloyDB.
- Mentor engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Nice to Have
- Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
- 7 years of technical leadership experience, with a focus on delivering core system-level software (in databases, operating systems, or kernels).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Excellent programming skills in C, C++, or Java.
Qualifications
- Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD.
Benefits & Perks
- US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
