The role involves performing preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, equipment, and grounds, with specialized knowledge in chiller operation, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

Inspects building systems including HVAC and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
Performs assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance, and completes maintenance and repair records as needed.
Reviews assigned work orders, estimates time and materials needed to complete repairs, and orders vital materials and supplies.
Maintains an energy management program to operate all systems efficiently and minimize operating costs.
Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Conducts on-site troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs for various chiller systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
Monitors chiller and HVAC equipment operation, analyzes performance data, and implements adjustments and upgrades.
Ensures all chiller operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including refrigerant management and safety protocols.
Provides technical support and training to clients and team members on chiller operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED and a minimum of four years of related experience or trade school training.
Universal CFC certification preferred.
Additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair are a plus.
Ability to interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and ask clarifying questions.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to Have

Additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.

Benefits & Perks

The pay rate for this position is $75.07 per hour, subject to the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
