We're seeking a future team member for the role Vice President, Data Engineer/API Developer II to join our Wealth Service Platform team in Jersey City, NJ.

Key Responsibilities

Building components with data pipelines.
Provide direction and support for the data consumption services.
Work with APIs, transform and load processes using Java Spring.
Collaborate with development teams in deploying and populating the Physical Data Model.
Track Data Lineage across various databases.
Ensure performance of the Data Models based on transactional and analytical use cases.
Ensure data quality within data models and at data interfaces.
Define Data Verification Processes.
Work with various development teams to provide an understanding of the data model and the data.

Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience; advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and development or related fields.
Experience with Java (Spring Boot, Spring Batch), Python, and SQL Server.
Good SQL knowledge and experience with DBT and SQL CTE.
Experience in designing and implementing large-scale data-intensive systems.
Hands-on experience with RDBMS, preferably MS SQL Server or Oracle, Snowflake.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience working in Financial Services.
Good communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with caching frameworks like Hazlecast.
Experience with Kafka Streaming/MQ.
Knowledge of TDD, CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with financial accounts, transactions, and positions data.

Qualifications

Formal educational background in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
