Vice President of Business Intelligence and Analytics

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead DEC's enterprise analytical data model, master data governance framework, and enterprise reporting platform.
• Partner with business units to define key metrics, data requirements, and proof-of-concepts.
• Translate business needs into structured, governed, and scalable analytics solutions using tools such as Snowflake, SQL, PostgreSQL, Power BI, and Grafana.
• Begin exploring ML/AI applications for future analytical use cases.
• Manage a technical business analyst and a Power BI developer.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define and enforce data definitions, analytical standards, and governance best practices.
• Oversee master data governance efforts across key domains such as wells, meters, and production assets, ensuring data consistency, stewardship, and integrity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 7-10 years of leadership experience in business intelligence, data governance, or data architecture.
• Proven experience leading enterprise master data management and governance programs.
• Hands-on knowledge of data modeling, metadata management, and enterprise KPI frameworks.
• Experience with Snowflake or equivalent cloud-native data platforms.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and lead without formal authority.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with a track record of executive-level communication.
