About the Role

A WebSphere Computing Architect role at Innova Solutions involves building and supporting development and production environments for WebSphere Application Server (WAS), providing technical guidance on high availability and performance, and maintaining security and policies for WAS systems. The position is based in Tukwila, WA, on a contract basis for 5 months, supporting application development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance within the company's IT services.

Key Responsibilities

Build development environments on new hardware and provide support during application development.
Provide direction to development teams on design principles to support high availability, performance, and application resiliency.
Build production systems and provide support through to go live.
Participate in ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and delivering continuous improvement.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for ensuring security and integrity of WAS systems.

Requirements

Certified IBM Deployment/Administration professional in WebSphere.
4+ years of experience with the development, configuration, planning, deployment, administration, and support of WAS applications.
Experience with database systems, particularly Oracle for backend application support.
Strong communication skills, technical discipline, initiative, and teaming attitude.

Nice to Have

Experience with Oracle database systems.
Additional certifications related to WebSphere or IBM deployment.

Qualifications

Professional certification in IBM WebSphere Deployment/Administration.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in WebSphere application support and deployment.
