About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and integration of solutions and platforms within the Investment Management Technology team.
• Collaborate with solution/enterprise architects and business representatives to deliver technical solutions, including new technologies.
• Participate in or conduct sizing and estimation of work for projects.
• Support application delivery, support, and maintenance in a DevOps/Agile delivery model.
• Identify and understand critical business features that drive value and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct technical troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational support for production code.
• Contribute to and review test strategies and plans.
• Translate system architecture into efficient, scalable, maintainable, and reusable designs.
• Lead design review sessions and resolve design-related issues with developers.
• Highlight potential and actual issues effectively and work toward resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• At least 7 years of experience including:
• 3 years of software application development experience.
• 2 years of software development experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud deployment, and services.
• 2 years of back-end/front-end development concepts and technologies.
• Proficiency with development tools and applying knowledge to complex problems.
• Experience with technical troubleshooting, operational support, and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of system architecture, design patterns, and scalable solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Experience with containers, CI/CD tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Helm, etc.), and architectural patterns like microservices.
• UI development experience with AngularJS/Angular or React, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery.
• Experience with .NET Core, object-oriented programming, T-SQL.
• Experience creating and maintaining technical design documentation.
• Familiarity with DevOps delivery models, batch job scheduling, and containerization tools like Docker.
• Self-managed, motivated, with strong leadership skills and proactive communication.

Nice to Have

• Experience and deep understanding of tools including containers, CI/CD (GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Helm, Chef, Ansible, Puppet).
• Deep understanding of design and architectural patterns including Service-Oriented Architecture and microservices.
• AWS Developer certifications.
• Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in software development and technical leadership.
