Advanced Embedded Software Engineer - NG Avionics

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement advanced software solutions for Avionics Display systems, applications and services, ensuring high performance, reliability, and user-friendliness
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design software architectures, and implement software modules
• Leverage expertise in software engineering to drive innovation and deliver high-quality solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure system performance and reliability
• Perform software architecture and coding tasks
• Integrate software components and systems
• Support certification processes for avionics software
• Define features and functionalities for avionics display systems
• Conduct verification and validation of software to ensure compliance and performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 4+ years of experience in embedded software engineering
• Proficiency in C/C++ software development

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field
• Understanding of various software development life cycles, methodologies, and tools
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, OpenGL, etc.
• Experience developing software in a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS)
• Experience with avionics products such as displays & graphics, flight management, flight planning, flight controls, PFD, TCAS, CAS, terrain, radios
• Experience in embedded software development for aerospace, avionics, display technologies, or related industries
• Experience operating in an Agile framework
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• 4+ years of experience in embedded software engineering
• Proficiency in C/C++
