Job Description

About the Role

Klaviyo is seeking an AI Systems & Solutions Architect to accelerate how our Global Services organization — including Onboarding, Professional Services, and Education — leverages AI to operate smarter and deliver more impact. In this role, you'll partner across teams to identify opportunities for AI and automation, prototype and validate solutions, and help evolve tool MVPs into robust, full-stack systems. You'll work closely with a partner to develop and refine the technical and operational processes behind our AI systems—ensuring we build tools that are not only effective but also accessible and scalable. You'll also play a key role in upskilling teams on AI literacy and helping Klaviyo evolve thoughtfully and effectively with emerging technologies. This role sits at the intersection of solutions architecture, internal tooling, and applied AI, within the Education team, serving as a connective tissue across the broader Services org. You'll be part of a small, collaborative team, partnering closely with a systems engineer and program manager to design, build, and scale solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Services leaders to identify high impact areas that could benefit from AI or automation.
  • Prioritize opportunities based on efficiency gains and impact.
  • Translate ambiguous ideas into clear program roadmaps with defined outcomes and milestones.
  • Prototype and maintain lightweight AI tools—such as GPT-powered assistants, agents, and automations—integrated into team workflows using platforms like Streamlit or Supabase.
  • Build internal tools using Python frameworks like Streamlit or Flask, and support more robust solutions using full-stack technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, FastAPI, and GraphQL.
  • Use tools like Python, Zapier, Notion AI, and APIs to build and connect systems—or collaborate with technical teams when needed.
  • Design systems that can scale—supporting real-time tools, user sessions, and interactivity at scale.
  • Incorporate effective QA, observability, and performance monitoring practices to ensure stability in production environments.
  • Validate prototypes through usage data and feedback, then lead the productization and scaling of successful solutions.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for large-scale internal data operations.
  • Develop clear documentation, onboarding guides, and training to ensure successful adoption of tools.
  • Help develop intake systems for stakeholder support requests, idea submissions, and progress tracking.
  • Lead enablement sessions and workshops to grow AI fluency across the Services org.
  • Stay current on generative AI and automation trends and assess relevance for Global Services.

Requirements

  • A systems thinker and builder with a strong technical foundation.
  • Experience with off-the-shelf AI and automation tools, and knowledge of custom solutions.
  • Experience in rapid prototyping and taking MVPs to scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Proficiency in or experience with full-stack development.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to translate technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
  • Confidence in managing programs from discovery through rollout and iteration.
  • Excitement for ambiguity, complexity, and building solutions that enhance team efficiency.
  • Experience in scripting, API use, AI prompt engineering, or automation tooling.
  • Experience implementing AI-powered or automated solutions that improved workflows or delivery.
  • Preferred: 4-8+ years in program management, solutions engineering, internal tooling, or similar roles.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Global Services functions such as onboarding, education, or consulting.
  • Preferred: Experience with site reliability practices or SRE roles.
