About the Role

Infosys is seeking an Android developer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty; be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, and diversity is respected and valued.

Key Responsibilities

Interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design.
Create high level design artifacts and deliver high quality code deliverables for a module.
Lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.

Requirements

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
This position may require travel in the US.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
2+ years experience in Information Technology.
Strong knowledge of Java & Android build system with experience in Kotlin.
Proficient in Android development tools and technologies, including Jetpack Compose, Room Database, Retrofit, and Firebase.
Strong object-oriented design skills including design patterns, data structures, and test-driven development.
Sound knowledge of memory management and concurrency.
Working knowledge of Android internals, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Experience building Android apps from scratch with a focus on architecture, familiar with MVP, MVVM, VIPER, etc.
Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
Experience with third-party libraries, APIs, web services, and JSON, such as Dagger, RxJava, Retrofit, GSON, Jackson.
Hands-on experience working with JUnit and Mockito.
The job may entail travel and extended periods of sitting and working at a computer.
Candidates should be able to effectively communicate by telephone, email, and face-to-face.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
3 years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of education (if applicable).
