About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide the technical and strategic direction to define and build a full ecosystem of technologies, roadmap, and vision.
• Plan, lead, and execute complex technical projects through your team that interact with various teams within the company.
• Anticipate future trends and evolving customer needs and drive strategies accordingly.
• Influence leadership on technical direction and product or team investment and pivot needs.
• Create tools, processes, and solutions that improve team productivity and efficiency.
• Identify and lead improvements to product stability, reliability, on-call and service health, customer support, diagnosability, and manageability.
• Identify and fill skill and expertise gaps within the team.
• Mentor and guide engineers to develop strong technical expertise.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems platforms.
• 4+ years of full-time Software Engineering Management experience.
• Strong passion for making developers highly productive and enabling their growth.

Nice to Have

• Experience in building cloud-native compute platforms.
• Experience influencing technical direction at an organizational level.
