About the Role

Genesis10 is seeking an Application Programmer for a 12+ month contract position with a client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. The role involves working in a production support and DevOps environment, focusing on big data technologies and credit risk platforms. The position offers remote work options and is designed for mid to senior level software engineers with relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

Support and develop applications within a credit risk platform, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize Spark development.
Collaborate with all levels of management to identify and address risks proactively.
Work within Agile teams to deliver solutions efficiently.
Utilize tools such as Bit Bucket, Gradle, Jenkins, and Ansible for CI/CD pipelines.
Perform data and code analysis to identify root causes of issues.

Requirements

Mid to senior level Software Engineer with experience in Production Support/DevOps.
Experience in ETL, Big Data (Hadoop), SQL, Spark, Unix, Hive, Impala, Data warehousing, scheduling tools, and scripting.
Strong experience in Spark development, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
Ability to analyze data and code to troubleshoot data quality and integrity issues.
Comfortable working with all management levels and proactively identifying risks.
Experience working in Agile teams.
Knowledge of Bit Bucket, Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible, Artifactory, and CI/CD pipelines.
Prior client experience, specifically in Credit Risk and Big Data environments.

Nice to Have

Experience with Credit Risk platforms in production support.
Knowledge of credit risk processes and systems.

Qualifications

Experience working in production support and DevOps environments.
Strong technical skills in Big Data technologies and scripting.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
