About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• SharePoint and Learning Management Systems and Special Project support to include the development and maintenance of education and training website portals.
• Accurately establishing project scope and specifications for all special project development.
• Employing an established, fully documented process for all web services developed.
• Assisting customers in identifying and documenting functional requirements.
• Identifying and managing evaluation of threats to system functionality, network integration, and internet security.
• Developing web-based applications architecture as required.
• Developing web-based interfaces and services.
• Performing testing and quality control activities to validate web services tools.
• Deploying web services in command, providing user training, and performing administrative tasks utilizing web development tools.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining various web-based applications and databases.
• Designing, implementing, maintaining, and customizing SharePoint Online Enterprise Services.
• Leveraging existing technology and implementing state-of-the-art development when applicable.
• Designing architecture for web-based applications.
• Obtaining and documenting functional requirements from stakeholders.
• Providing effective communication and customer service skills.
• Applying program and project management principles.
• Performing other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in an IT-related field with five (5) years of experience in web services development or seven (7) years of general IT experience.
• Knowledge and expertise in utilizing Microsoft SharePoint Online, Microsoft Planner, and Microsoft Power BI developmental tools.
• Knowledge and skill supporting multiple file formats used in delivery of web content.
• Knowledge and expertise implementing internet security principles and protocols such as secure socket layers and encryption, internet design principles and methods.
• Knowledge and expertise maintaining the integrity of web servers with DoD, DHA, and Navy IT security methods.
• Knowledge and expertise managing Active Server Pages, standard graphics, markup languages, programming, streaming video and scripting languages and tools such as JAVA, FLASH, etc.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have an active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in web services development or seven (7) years of general IT experience.
• Active SECRET clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship.
