About the Role

The Associate Brand Manager-innovation supports the development of new products that drive growth for Tom's of Maine, a part of Colgate-Palmolive. The role involves supporting innovation pipelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing projects from concept to market, with a focus on natural ingredients, sustainable packaging, and consumer needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Support development of Tom's innovation pipeline, primarily on Oral Care, from concept to execution.
  • Understand the market by tracking competitive and analogous category innovation trends, natural technologies, ingredients, and packaging/formats.
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumers and their evolving needs through social listening, AI, research methods, and partnership with Consumer Insights.
  • Develop and test concepts that resonate with consumers, collaborating with R D, legal, regulatory, design, packaging, and supply chain teams to assess feasibility and bring concepts to market.
  • Partner with R D and Tom's Stewardship council to ensure adherence to guidelines.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables with cross-functional teams, including claims development, packaging design, and supply chain coordination.
  • Lead claims development, packaging design, and technology development briefs to bring products from concept to shelf.
  • Develop selling materials and technical demonstrations to support product listing and sales efforts.
  • Set pricing strategy and develop financial assessments of new products in partnership with supply chain, category management, and finance teams.
  • Support core product optimization involving new formulation or packaging as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 4+ years of professional marketing experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG or FMCG) with a focus on innovation.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.

Qualifications

  • Academic training or professional experience in business or marketing.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $117,000 to $133,000 USD, determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
  • Discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for eligible roles.
