About the Role

The Associate Director, Marketing Analytics, Immunology, within AbbVie's APEX team, plays an instrumental role in maximizing the opportunity for AbbVie's in-market and near-term pipeline products for the Immunology Portfolio. The role involves providing leadership and strategic insights across Rheumatology, Dermatology, and Gastroenterology franchises, engaging with external data and service providers, and developing advanced analytics capabilities to influence business strategy and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advance analytic capabilities within the Immunology Therapeutic Area by developing new data and technical capabilities, collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Partner with APEX Market Access Insights and Patient Services to provide insights on EIMP initiatives and standards of care for IMM patients.
  • Enhance Immunology reporting and tracking capabilities, automating processes to reduce manual work.
  • Contribute to the financial planning process, providing input for monthly estimates, annual plans, and long-range planning.
  • Collaborate with AbbVie's Digital Lab and APEX Center to build out Immunology Omnichannel platforms and capabilities, including data and analytics infrastructure.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams such as APEX Insights and Analytics, Market Access, Digital Lab, Finance, Patient Services, and Sales Operations.
  • Provide product performance reports to facilitate understanding of brand performance relative to targets.
  • Develop promotional investment strategies and guide investment decisions to optimize performance and inform financial forecasts.
  • Establish near-term KPIs and long-term ROI metrics to inform marketing and business strategies.
  • Analyze sub-national drivers of cross-brand performance to provide granular insights across channels and customers.
  • Leverage sophisticated analytic models addressing critical issues while meeting technical and business criteria.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional partners to deliver integrated analytics reflecting diverse contributions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Decision Sciences, Operations Research, or Applied Mathematics.
  • 8-10 years of experience in quantitative analysis of sales and marketing data and developing business strategies.
  • Working knowledge of multivariate statistics, analytical software, and pharmaceutical data sources such as IQVIA, SHA, MMIT, SSR, CMS, Truven.
  • Deep expertise in current analytical methods and tools, including machine learning.
  • Proficiency with modeling and querying tools such as R, Python, SQL, Dataiku.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, sales, and logistics planning processes.
  • Advanced quantitative expertise and systems understanding.
  • Strong visualization and storytelling skills to synthesize complex data into impactful messages.
  • Ability to manage multiple analytic projects and priorities.
  • Experience analyzing syndicated pharma data (IQVIA, Symphony, etc).
  • Proven ability to develop and deploy analytics solutions that address business needs.
  • Effective communication and influence skills within a matrix organization.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work closely with senior management.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced Degree (Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, or Engineering) with emphasis in marketing/sales/quantitative analysis.
