About the Role

The Automation and Orchestration Software Engineer designs, implements, integrates, and maintains systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities. They apply specific functional knowledge around scripting and orchestration, developing or contributing to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. This role supports cybersecurity operations and automation efforts within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain systems and tools to automate complex cyber activities.
  • Apply scripting and orchestration knowledge to develop solutions for moderate scope problems.
  • Integrate hosted applications with internal systems using scripting languages and APIs.
  • Utilize orchestration tools such as Ansible to automate workflows.
  • Contribute to the development of secure and efficient automation solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience developing scripts and software solutions to integrate hosted applications with internal systems, including working with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Ansible.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Knowledge of software development tools such as GitLab and Atlassian Suite, and web applications and platforms such as ServiceNow, AWS, OpenRMF, and Trellix.
  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mathematics.
  • Agile Developer Certification or Certified Scrum Developer Certification.
