About the Role

Valtech is looking for a Backend Developer based in Stockholm. The role involves building innovative, scalable solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and engaging directly with clients throughout project lifecycles. The position requires working on-site with clients in Stockholm and contributing to the company's dynamic, inclusive culture that values sharing, caring, and daring.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain innovative solutions that meet client requirements
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies
Work with modern development practices, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automated testing
Help maintain system documentation and participate in project reviews
Actively participate in client meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

A developer at mid-to-senior level with at least 5 years of experience in backend development
A relevant technical education or equivalent experience in computer science, software engineering, application development, or backend engineering
Proven track record of effectively engaging with stakeholders and adding value to projects
Solid knowledge of both Java and .NET
Experience working with cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Experience working with containerized solutions (Kubernetes, Docker)
Experience working in an agile environment with tools like Jira and Confluence
Flexibility to work on-site in and around Stockholm multiple times a week

Nice to Have

Interest or experience in working with Kotlin

Qualifications

At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development
Experience in an agile project environment
