Backend Engineer- Python/GCP

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and contribute to the product platform as necessary.
• Maintain and support products that are released to stakeholders and customers.
• Facilitate discussions among other developers to exchange new ideas and improvements.
• Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices that can be used to strengthen technology platforms and development practices.
• Interface with the client for quality assurance, issue resolution, and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Understand requirements, create and review designs, validate the architecture, and ensure high levels of service offerings to clients in the technology domain.
• Participate in project estimation, provide inputs for solution delivery, conduct technical risk planning, and perform code reviews and unit test plan reviews.
• Lead and guide teams towards developing optimized high-quality code deliverables, continual knowledge management, and adherence to organizational guidelines and processes.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience building scalable, reliable backend systems.
• 4+ Years of software development experience.
• Proficient in Python with hands-on expertise in modern frameworks/libraries like FastAPI and Pydantic.
• Experienced in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code.
• 4+ years of experience in Python (FastAPI, Pydantic).
• 4+ years of experience in RESTful API design.
• 4+ years of experience in PostgreSQL.
• 4+ years of experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• 4+ years of experience in Terraform (IaC).
• 4+ years of experience in GitHub (version control & CI/CD).
• 4+ years of experience in scalable system architecture.
• 4+ years of experience in testing and debugging backend services.
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
• A bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; candidates with a Master's degree are strongly preferred.
