About the Role

Phoenix Contact USA, Inc. (Middletown, PA) is seeking a Backend Software Developer to develop new and reusable code that meets internal development standards and quality goals, utilizing unit testing to ensure code quality. The position offers the flexibility to work from home from anywhere in the U.S. and involves working with a team to create backend interfaces and ensure software quality in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop new and reusable code that meets internal development standards and quality goals.
Utilize unit testing to ensure code quality.
Develop backend interfaces to send and retrieve data (APIs).
Align development work with defined architecture and software engineering methodologies.
Contribute to the development of software that handles data stored in relational or object databases.

Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
2 years' experience coding in Java programming language.
2 years' experience working with Agile development methodology.
2 years' experience writing backend interfaces (APIs) to send and retrieve data.
2 years' experience with software engineering methodologies.
2 years' experience handling data stored in relational or object databases.
Ability to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
