About the Role

The Vice President of Media Analytics at Morgan Stanley will partner with internal digital media and marketing teams to lead analytics efforts supporting data-based decision making, strategy development, and driving business outcomes. This role requires deep expertise in media and digital analytics, with a focus on delivering insights at speed and scale to enhance media investments and client experiences within a leading global financial services firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of media analytics professionals (2) to support analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business partners to define strategic outcomes and translate business problems into team deliverables.
  • Execute on analytics projects and use insights to inform decision making.
  • Drive investigation, measurement, and reporting to optimize media investments and enhance digital client experiences.
  • Develop robust reporting and insights to understand the impact of media channels on conversions and assets.
  • Analyze large, complex data sets to identify patterns, correlations, and trends.
  • Set up and conduct large-scale experiments to test hypotheses for media channels such as Digital Display and Paid Search.
  • Analyze clickstream data to understand digital client journeys and profiles, making recommendations to increase usage and relevance.
  • Work with various data sources and develop SQL queries to build reporting and insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Statistics; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Media Analytics role, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Experience with web analytics suites like Adobe Analytics or Heap.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Experience working with web analytics tools and raw data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, SAS).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the financial services industry.
  • Experience with media mix modeling (MMM) and multi-touch attribution (MTA).
  • Knowledge of cookie degradation impact and media attribution methods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; advanced degrees preferred.
  • At least 7 years of experience in media analytics, preferably in financial services.
