About the Role

This is a temporary, part-time position at the University of Minnesota's Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, expected to last through December 2026 with the possibility of extension. The role involves maintaining ecological momentary assessment (EMA) research study databases and managing text message-based survey distribution. Work will be conducted remotely, scheduled for 10-14 hours per week, and requires at least 2 years of backend programming experience with MySQL and .NET technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update the databases and related services for the EMA research projects.
Serve as the technical point-of-contact for any survey-related issues that may arise.
Manage the backend of the portal, which includes a MySQL database and ASP.NET with Razor views running on IIS.
Ensure the smooth operation of survey distribution via text messaging.

Requirements

At least 2 years of backend programming experience with MySQL database.
At least 2 years of experience writing clean, scalable code with .NET.
Experience with ASP.NET with Razor views running on IIS.
Demonstrated ability to work well independently.
Demonstrated excellent organization skills.

Nice to Have

Organizational skills beyond the basic requirement.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of backend programming experience with MySQL.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with .NET development.
