About the Role

The Commercial Analytics Senior Manager, Rare Disease at Amgen is responsible for leading the generation of actionable insights by integrating multiple secondary data sources, field performance metrics, and collaborating closely with Sales Leadership. The role involves delivering recommendations to optimize sales force effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making within the Rare Disease therapeutic area. This position supports Amgen's mission to serve patients by providing data-driven strategies and insights to enhance brand and sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain strong cross-functional partnerships with Sales Leadership and CD&A colleagues to shape data-driven strategy.
  • Lead the development and delivery of actionable insights and performance dashboards (weekly/monthly), highlighting KPIs, trends, and opportunities for both brand and field execution.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to identify territory-level growth opportunities and optimize sales force deployment using a data-driven approach.
  • Prepare, interpret, and present analyses for business objectives, ad-hoc requests, and leadership forums.
  • Provide an objective, data-grounded perspective to inform brand and sales strategy, performance management, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance standards and SOPs for analytics and reporting.
  • Drive innovation in analytics by adopting new methodologies, data sources, and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members and partner with external vendors to ensure high-quality analytics delivery.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of analytics experience
  • OR Master's degree and 4 years of analytics experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree and 6 years of analytics experience
  • OR Associate's degree and 10 years of analytics experience
  • OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of analytics experience
  • Strong ability to uncover and transform insights into commercial actions through analysis, synthesis, and integration of secondary data
  • Well-versed in data, analytics, research, and/or dashboarding & reporting approaches
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and delivering on competing priorities
  • Strong analysis and project management skills to convert unstructured issues into strategic or tactical recommendations
  • Proficient facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts

Qualifications

  • Educational qualifications as specified in the requirements (Doctorate, Master's, Bachelor's, Associate's, or High school diploma with corresponding years of experience)
