Cloud Developer Senior

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Product Managers to refine and prioritize the backlog.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for cloud applications.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPCs, Load Balancing/Auto-Scaling, and IAM.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation, Packer, and Ansible to automate deployments and maintain configuration consistency.
• Develop and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to support data domain requirements and self-service analytics.
• Design and deploy domain-specific data products in collaboration with data domain teams, ensuring adherence to organizational standards.
• Ensure compliance with data governance practices, including data privacy, access controls, and lineage management.
• Maintain and support the organization's Data Mesh software, ensuring its availability and reliability.
• Lead organizational training initiatives on data mesh principles and support cultural adoption of data management practices.
• Monitor cloud performance using tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana, and troubleshoot issues proactively.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance or higher.
• Seven (7) or more years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS.
• Proficiency with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, and API Gateway.
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) on AWS infrastructure.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including network security, data encryption, and multi-factor authentication.
• Experience working in Agile organizations using Scrum, Kanban, Jira, and SAFe.
• Ability to document work in Epics, Features, and Stories in JIRA, and maintain product and iteration backlogs.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to coordinate across teams and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure cloud management.
• Experience with data governance tools and workflows.
• Knowledge of data mesh architecture and principles.
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions like CloudWatch, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance or higher.
• US Citizenship.
• Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience.
