Key Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day full-stack development activities and new project initiatives for creating APIs and Amazon Web Service (AWS) components.
Partner with internal business and external vendors to generate ideas, problem solve, and gather business and technical requirements.
Develop solutions and implement 'store of the future' technologies, delivering reliable and robust service to retail units.
Develop customized technical solutions to deliver new business capabilities, improve performance, and automate business processes using programming, scripting, and systems experience.
Collect, analyze, and summarize data to identify trends and inform business partners, creating reports to meet business and leadership needs.
Participate in complex and high visibility projects relevant to assigned areas of responsibility.
Work on innovative initiatives to improve inventory profitability and optimization, including RFID technologies, Loyalty, custom cloud services, and relevant inventory technologies.
Present development and automation ideas, data trends, project projections, plans, and updates to leadership.
Create, build, and maintain partnerships across all levels of the organization to ensure collaboration in system changes and enhancements.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of software development experience with Node.js, Python, C# (.NET Core), Java, TypeScript, React, or Angular.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, API Gateway, VPC, EC2, CloudFormation, and Cloudwatch.
Minimum of 1 year in project planning focused on gathering business and technical requirements, project estimation, and project plan maintenance.
Experience creating SQL queries and operating SQL Server.
Critical thinking skills with a drive for process improvement.
Ability to work on multiple projects and possess strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
Proficiency with at least one software development IDE such as XCode, Visual Studio, or JetBrains Tools.
Experience working day-to-day on MacOS for development tasks is desired but not required.

Nice to Have

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field (MIS or CS preferred).
2+ years of professional experience in an AWS administrative or developer role.
Retail experience preferred.
