About the Role

The Community Relations Representative II is responsible for developing and maintaining new contacts and/or partnerships in the community. This field-based role enables associates to primarily operate in the western region of North Carolina, covering Buncombe, Burke, Haywood, and Rutherford counties. The position involves traveling to client sites or designated locations, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training, ensuring flexibility and direct engagement with the community. The role supports community outreach, marketing, and member engagement efforts within a healthcare organization dedicated to improving lives and communities.

Key Responsibilities

Leads and manages strategies within a specific territory or business initiative.
Acts as liaison with community advocacy groups that impact the target population.
Identifies, develops, and builds relationships with community organizations, provider offices, and faith-based organizations; performs activities to enhance presence in the community.
Assists members and potential members with benefit and/or enrollment inquiries.
Identifies cultural issues regarding current and potential members and communicates issues to management.
Tracks all marketing and sales activities and maintains a sales database.
Conducts marketing presentations to increase effectiveness in establishing rapport, assessing individual needs, and communicating product/benefit features and differences.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare or sales/marketing environment.
Experience or familiarity with community and faith-based organizations that support the delivery area.
Knowledge of plan and/or competitors' value-added benefits.
Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, and Word strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle with valid motor vehicle insurance required.

Nice to Have

AD or BA/BS degree preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare or sales/marketing.
