About the Role

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Computing Architect 4 for a hybrid (remote/onsite) opportunity in Tukwila, WA. The role involves establishing and supporting WebSphere environments for the client's manufacturing execution system, which is critical to factory operations. The position requires technical expertise in WebSphere and database systems, with a focus on high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

Establish WebSphere environments for the production pipeline of Client's Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES).
Build development environments on new hardware and provide support during application development.
Provide direction to development teams on design principles to support high availability, performance, and application resiliency.
Build production systems and provide support through to go live.
Participate in ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and delivering continuous improvement.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for ensuring security and integrity of WAS systems.
Support database systems, particularly Oracle, for backend application support.

Requirements

Certified IBM Deployment/Administration professional in WebSphere.
4+ years of experience with the development, configuration, planning, deployment, administration, and support of WAS applications.
Strong communication skills, technical discipline, initiative, and teaming attitude.
Regular and predictable attendance is required.
Accredited technical bachelor's degree with typically 9 or more years of related work experience, or a master's degree with typically 7 or more years, or a PhD with typically 4 or more years, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
