About the Role

The Computing Architect IV is responsible for establishing WebSphere environments for the production pipeline of the Company's Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES). CMES is a critical system that supports the digital operations of factories, enabling the building and delivery of commercial products. The role involves building and supporting development and production environments, ensuring system security and integrity, and providing technical guidance to development teams.

Key Responsibilities

Build development environments on new hardware and provide support during application development
Provide direction to development teams on design principles to support high availability, performance and application resiliency
Build production systems and provide support through to go live
Participate in ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting and delivering continuous improvement
Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures for ensuring security and integrity of WAS systems
Experience with database systems, particularly Oracle for backend application support

Requirements

Certified IBM Deployment/Administration professional in Websphere
4+ years of experience with the development, configuration, planning, deployment, administration and support of WAS applications
Strong communication skills, technical discipline, initiative and teaming attitude
