About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of landscapes, parks, gardens, and green spaces.
• Repair systems and equipment, ensuring all irrigation systems function correctly using manual tools daily.
• Lead other employees at various work sites as needed.
• Understand the different types of equipment, materials, and supplies used in irrigation systems, including installation, replacement, and repair of pipes and valves made of PVC, bronze, copper, and galvanized materials.
• Install and program timers, and install flow return and flow return cages.
• Troubleshoot irrigation systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Dig with a pick and shovel to repair broken pipes.
• Inspect, program, adjust, and repair timers according to supervisor instructions.
• Repair, replace, and adjust sprinkler heads, valves, pipes, fittings, pumps, timers, and other equipment as needed.
• Read blueprints and use OHM meters and control units.

Requirements

• Valid and current driver's license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in irrigation.
