About the Role

The Creative Design Lead is responsible for the creative development and execution of print and digital solutions that unify our products, services, and communications. As part of the Creative Content team, this role understands how to execute brand and marketing strategy from conception to delivery of marketing materials, event promotions, philanthropy campaigns, websites, digital signage, environmental displays, print pieces, conference materials and experiences, executive presentations, and other projects. Through a human-centered design approach, the Creative Design Lead will collaborate with brand, end-users, designers, the design director, marketing associates, content curators, and business partners. Reporting to the Creative Design Manager, this role will define the design language and visual conventions that contribute to the heartbeat of our products and services. The Creative Design Lead will have an impeccable design sense with a passion for solving complex problems and creating elegant solutions that engage and delight our patient families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop print and digital solutions that align with brand and marketing strategies.
  • Apply design thinking to explore, define, and communicate through sketches, prototypes, competitive analysis, and other artifacts.
  • Contribute to strategic growth by implementing systems thinking, frameworks, and processes to foster great design, research, and collaboration.
  • Develop clear, persuasive visual stories for diverse audiences using methods such as storyboards, mood boards, infographics, and prototypes.
  • Manage design production and governance of the digital sign platform and assets, partnering with stakeholders to meet visual strategies.
  • Ensure all assets comply with brand standards and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (Section 508).
  • Create and unify content marketing, visual design, and user experience to develop a holistic brand experience.
  • Champion brand positioning and ensure compliance across all points of contact for master and sub-brands.
  • Work within Agile teams, estimating time, tracking production, and participating in reviews and retrospectives.
  • Manage multiple projects from conceptualization to delivery, including vendor relationships and production oversight.
  • Provide art direction during photo shoots and collaborate with agencies and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a creative, graphic, or visual design field.
  • 10+ years of work experience in a creative or visual design role.
  • Proficiency in Adobe CC design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, etc.).
  • Experience with digital signage management software (ScreenScape, Spectrio).
  • Ability to create layouts and digital assets for web, social media, print, signage, environments, and email.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic Agile team environment and manage multiple projects with aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Solid understanding of human-centered design, including user research, journey maps, personas, and prototypes.
  • Knowledge of print production, web production, and digital signage deployment.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience working within established brand and style guides.
  • Ability to understand business and user goals and develop innovative solutions.
