Job Description

About the Role

This role can be based in New York, NY and Chicago, IL. As the Data & Analytics Business Analyst, you will support the Foodservice portfolio by acting as a conduit between IT and Marketing. The Analyst will be highly collaborative, passionate about business architecture, and possess an expert-level understanding of how data and marketing operations inform sound decisions. You will analyze marketing data infrastructure, partner to plan future data and operational needs, and implement solutions to optimize and manage the tech stack. The position involves interpreting data, providing insights to drive business growth, and building reports and dashboards in Power BI, with a focus on automations, data visualization, and process optimization within Informa Connect's Foodservice Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with central marketing and the Director of Data & Digital Insights to ensure all optimal and new innovative practices are aligned and shared across the group.
  • Develop, monitor, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing automation and CRM systems (Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce, etc.) for the Foodservice portfolio in line with Connect's wider marketing tech strategy.
  • Build Power BI dashboards to analyze data related to event pacing, revenue, marketing campaign performance, database health, and audience demographics to uncover areas for improvement.
  • Assist in weekly and monthly reporting meetings to ensure operational excellence and serve as a central conduit across business functions.
  • Partner with the central teams to ensure governance and alignment across systems and processes.
  • Assist in data integration projects between Salesforce CRM instances and marketing platforms.
  • Provide reporting and insights to brand teams and senior management on performance measures and future strategies.
  • Support audience segmentation, media analytics reporting, event tracking, registration maintenance, and process testing.

Requirements

  • Experience with developing and improving marketing automation and CRM systems such as Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce, etc.
  • Proficiency in building dashboards and analyzing data using Power BI.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and senior management.
  • Ability to interpret and contextualize data to provide valuable insights.
  • Experience with data integration between disparate systems and platforms.
  • Organizational skills and a data-driven mindset.

  • Experience with automation systems and backend of automations.
  • Knowledge of business analysis, process management, and operations.
