Data Product Owner - Senior Assistant VP

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on technical analysis to define requirements and support deliveries, collaborating with technology, operations, and senior business stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of data feed rationalization roadmaps by analyzing existing feeds, identifying opportunities for consolidation and retirement, and ensuring alignment with business priorities and the CIB data strategy.
• Drive the implementation of standardized processes to capture and track data feed rationalizations and application retirements, ensuring consistent documentation, stakeholder alignment, and integration with the broader data strategy.
• Promote the adoption of approved data sources by leading data sourcing and platform rationalization efforts, aligned with the CIB data strategy, through ongoing communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to embed AI and automation into data services, including areas such as data discovery, quality checks, and workflow automation.
• Contribute to reporting and updates for senior stakeholders on the progress of data feed rationalization and simplification initiatives, including tracking OKRs to ensure measurable outcomes such as feed reduction, simplified data flows, and improved data quality and accessibility.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrixed environment and build effective business partnerships.
• Experience working with data platforms, data pipelines, or enterprise data tools.

Nice to Have

• Experience working within financial services - CIB or investment banking.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in data operations.
• Familiarity with agile planning and execution.
• Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience translating technical requirements to functional reports.
