The internship program provides students with hands-on experience in the insurance industry, opportunities to learn about various departments, engage in professional development, and build relationships through social activities. The role is based in Richfield, Ohio, during Summer 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists in the analysis of internal and external data and performs statistical modeling to develop actionable insights and recommendations to management regarding business and product performance.
  • Develops data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting and data analysis methodologies to identify trends and extract knowledge from large, high dimensional data sets.
  • Identifies areas to increase efficiency and automation of data analysis processes.
  • May translate business problems/opportunities into technical requirements and data science specifications.
  • Assists in creating solutions that enable enhanced business performance and decision making through a range of data preparation, modeling, analysis and/or visualization techniques.
  • Assists in using artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop processes automation.
  • Participates in researching and applying knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions.
  • Develops business knowledge and customer relationships.
  • May estimate the economic impact of operational decisions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university or Master's degree pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Anticipated graduation date ranging from Fall/Winter 2026 to Spring 2027.
  • Prior experience using Python/ R, SQL, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Enrolled in a relevant degree program with an anticipated graduation date between Fall/Winter 2026 and Spring 2027.
