Job Description

About the Role

This role will assist and support the evaluation of compliance and arbiter data, to develop machine learning algorithms to interrogate data, and to develop and implement a scaling stack to develop products for the purpose of business analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work on assigned multidisciplinary team research or analytical projects using sophisticated computational algorithms.
  • Support data research efforts for product development for internal and external clients.
  • Develop custom algorithms for solving real-estate business problems across a wealth of structure and unstructured data across multiple data sources.
  • Support the Senior Data Scientist in the tracking and evaluation of data sources.
  • May provide informal assistance such as technical mentorship, and/or training to coworkers.
  • May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

Requirements

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree from a credible school in applied data science, computer science, engineering, applied math or related degree.
  • Demonstrated ability in statistical analysis, data engineering, and data visualization.
  • Data Scientist Certification or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to internal customers.
  • Ability to optimally present information.
  • Knowledge of financial terms and principles, and ability to conduct basic financial analysis.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret sophisticated documents.
  • Proven knowledge of Python, together with SQL.
  • Knowledge of standard machine learning algorithms, based on “An Introduction to Statistical Learning” by James et.al or similar textbook.
  • Knowledge of strengths, weaknesses, and real-world performance of ML algorithms.
  • Deep understanding of web scraping and data preprocessing.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with developing and scaling machine learning products.
  • Experience working with real estate data or related industry knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in relevant fields.
  • Data Scientist Certification or equivalent.
