About the Role

Research Data Scientist The Research Data Scientist is responsible for conducting research and development activities related to new and expanded solutions within the In Silico & Data Insights product suite, focusing on Leadscope and other products as needed. The role involves managing scientific issues related to the acceptance and implementation of in silico solutions, including regulatory considerations. The position is based in a company that provides industry-leading software solutions for drug discovery, with a global presence and a family-like, flexible work environment that values employee development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop computational models for the prediction of toxicological endpoints
  • Lead or participate in research collaborations to address In Silico & Data Insights topics
  • Publish and present research, manage publication process
  • Contribute to production of documentation of development activities as required by Instem's SDLC
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development of in silico modelling and data-driven insights products for the product suite
  • Provide consultative support for professional services deployment, if needed
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science methodologies and best practices
  • Support sales and marketing with technical pre-sales and the development of marketing material
  • Adhere to the Company's Quality Management System to ensure that all work is handled securely, professionally, and diligently

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in toxicology, computational toxicology, bioinformatics or related discipline
  • Knowledge of chemical mechanisms of action and toxicological pathways (including SARs, and AOPs)
  • Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
  • Experience manipulating and analyzing data from different sources
  • Experience in theoretical and empirical research and answering questions with research
  • Experience in Python, Rust, SQL, and Java for data analysis and software development

  • Ph.D. in toxicology, computational toxicology, bioinformatics or related discipline
