Data Scientist Lead, Global Monetization Strategy & Analytics

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Participate and lead brainstorming sessions and review other scientists' research.
• Share pioneering research with leadership and identify new opportunities.
• Mentor senior scientists for their career development.
• Help the company identify and acquire scientists with the right skillsets.
• Partner with senior leadership to develop long-term strategic solutions.
• Represent and sponsor strategic solutions to leaders within the organization and partner organizations such as monetization products and technologies.
• Interact with other scientists from internal and external teams to update on important trends, technologies, and scientific resolutions, and how they can impact the business or guide business roadmaps.

Requirements

• PhD in Statistics, Management Science, Economics, Operations Research or other quantitative fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in analytics.
• Strong track record in performing high-quality analysis of big data.
• Track record of driving change based on persuasive communication of insights and opportunities based on analysis.
• Experience incubating new technology working closely with research scientists, software developers and product managers from conception to implementation.
• Written and verbal communication skills to convey complicated processes and systems to business partners and senior leadership.

Nice to Have

• Applicants with considerably more experience (4+ years) in online advertising.
• Proficiency in R or Python, and SQL.
• Experience in demand analytics, casual inference and business experimentation design.
• Strong research track record.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant quantitative field.

• Annual base salary range of $201,000 - $483,200, depending on qualifications and location.
