About the Role

The Data Strategy and Analytics Manager (DSAM) at Wharton Executive Education plays a pivotal role in setting and executing a comprehensive data strategy for the organization. This role involves developing and operationalizing a unified data strategy that connects technology platforms with business objectives, serving as a bridge between technical teams and business users to ensure data accuracy, meaningfulness, and effective use for decision-making. The DSAM oversees data integration across multiple platforms, guides data governance and standards, and helps translate data into actionable insights to support strategic goals and operational efficiency within Wharton Executive Education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive data strategy for Executive Education, aligning platforms, governance, and business objectives across all units.
  • Act as the bridge between technical teams and business users, translating business needs into platform logic, data flows, and insights.
  • Oversee integration and alignment of data across Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Marketo/Adobe Experience Cloud, Qualtrics, and other platforms, ensuring data quality and accessibility.
  • Partner with Marketing and business units to design and manage dashboards and reporting tools using Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, ensuring reports are version-controlled, consistent, and insightful.
  • Establish and promote data governance practices, including definitions, standardized data capture, documentation, and user permissions, ensuring compliance with data security and privacy policies.
  • Proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in data to support leadership in strategic decision-making and operational planning.
  • Develop a structured intake and prioritization process for reporting and analytics requests, ensuring clarity around demand and delivery timelines.
  • Manage and deliver recurring reports across units, ensuring data accuracy, timely distribution, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support implementation of new systems, develop SOPs, and deliver training for system adoption.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ad hoc data requests, including surveys, reports, and internal performance metrics, ensuring data is formatted and contextualized appropriately.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; 5 to 7 years of experience in data strategy, business analytics, or data product management; Master's preferred in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related fields.
  • Experience in configuring and managing Salesforce, including reports, dashboards, and data validation rules.
  • Experience working with MarTech platforms, LMS platforms (e.g., Marketo/Adobe Experience Cloud), Tableau, Qualtrics, and similar tools.
  • Ability to connect and interpret data from multiple systems and translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and querying languages such as SQL.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in higher education, executive education, or professional services is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data governance and data security policies, including GDPR compliance.
  • Experience supporting system implementations and user training.
  • Knowledge of data architecture and scalable data systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination.
  • Master's degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related field preferred.
