About the Role

Deloitte Technology is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to actively engage in high-visibility projects, delivering solutions that delight customers and drive value for Deloitte's business investments. The role involves leveraging extensive DevSecOps craftsmanship, advanced proficiency across multiple programming languages, tools, and frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy advanced software solutions. The team focuses on modernized software and product delivery, creating scalable, cost-effective models that emphasize value and outcomes, supporting Deloitte's internal and external digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embrace and drive a culture of accountability for customer and business outcomes by developing DevSecOps solutions that solve complex automation problems with valuable outcomes.
  • Ensure high-quality, lean, resilient, and secure pipelines with low operating costs, meeting platform/technology KPIs.
  • Serve as the technical advocate for DevSecOps modern practices, ensuring integrity, feasibility, and alignment with business and customer goals, NFRs, and automation/integration/security practices.
  • Design and maintain code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, integrations, and environments through IaC, including identifying, assessing, and remediating vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain accountability for the integrity and design of DevSecOps pipelines and environments, leading deployment techniques like Blue-Green and Canary to minimize downtime and enable A/B testing.
  • Engage with engineers to ensure DevSecOps practices are understood and implemented throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Resolve technical issues from implementation to production operations, leading triage and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Develop lean, scalable, and flexible DevSecOps automations through rapid experimentation to meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, security, and infrastructure to make well-informed decisions.
  • Leverage modern software engineering practices such as Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD to optimize solutioning and product delivery.
  • Quickly acquire domain-specific knowledge, translating business/user needs into technical requirements and automations.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and support teammates and product teams with well-structured arguments and trade-offs.
  • Engage and collaborate with product engineering teams and customers, fostering a culture of co-creation and shared goals.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise, and Git version control.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with security tools automation (SAST/DAST), monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace), and cloud-native tools on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • 5+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies like Terraform, Puppet, ARM, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager.
  • Ability to travel 0-10%, with limited immigration sponsorship possibly available.
  • Strong software engineering foundation with understanding of OOP/OOD, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

Nice to Have

  • An advanced degree such as MS.
  • 5+ years proven experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, C#, and Golang.
  • 2+ years experience with cloud native services like Data Lakes, CDN, API Gateways, Managed PaaS, Security across multiple cloud providers.
  • Prior experience with methodologies like XP, Lean, SAFe.
  • Experience with cloud provider security practices, database technologies (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).
  • Experience with networking, firewalls, load balancers, AI/ML, and GenAI.
